From December through February 28th, we do not sail on Sundays. Holiday schedules many include Sundays, so please call the office or check our calendar for more information. Tours depart from Fernandina Harbor Marina located at the foot of Centre Street, in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach.
All of our vessels are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and our Captains are U.S. Coast Guard licensed, providing a safe and stable ride for our passengers. Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are allowed, and we are pet-friendly. All of our vessels are bathroom-equipped and handicap-accessible.
We sail rain or shine, within reason, and our vessels have a shade canopy for inclement weather. Captain makes the final call on sailing.
WHAT TO BRING:
Don’t forget to bring your camera, binoculars, sunglasses and sunscreen! We have cold water aboard for a $1 donation and you are allowed to bring your own food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). All of our vessels are bathroom-equipped and handicap-accessible. We also welcome well-behaved leashed pets and bicycles can sometimes be accommodated upon advance request. Please bring a light jacket or garment depending on the weather for your own comfort. (recommended Fall through early Spring).
WHERE TO PARK:
Free parking is available on the north and south sides of Brett’s Waterway Cafe, as well as on Centre Streets and the side streets of downtown Fernandina, all within walking distance of our dock. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure to allow for tickets sales and safe boarding with an on-time departure.

Your ticket confirmation will be e-mailed at the time of purchase. Please pick up your actual tickets at our Ticket Office located at 1 North Front Street, Historic Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.

It may be pouring in Jacksonville and bright and sunny on Amelia Island, Florida. The barrier island environment creates unpredictable and changeable weather patterns, so please check with us before altering your plans. We check NOAA radar frequently to ensure that you have a safe and fun boating experience!

Like many ramps the one accessing our boats rise and fall with the tide. For passengers with disabilities it is easier to get to the boat during high tide.

We have a wheelchair available for anyone who has difficulties going up or down the ramp to the boat. Please give us a heads-up if this service is required so the Captain and first mate can assist you. This may take some extra time but we want everyone to be able to enjoy the river cruise. However, we need to know if someone needs this help.
We will only sail with a minimum of 10 paying passengers. If you purchase a ticket for a certain day/time and we do not meet our minimum requirements, you can re-schedule for another day/time or your ticket may be refunded. If you purchase a ticket and you do not show up for the tour, you will not be eligible for a refund except under special circumstances. If a tour is cancelled due to weather, you can trade your ticket for another time/date (additional charges may apply, depending on the price of the ticket) or you may be refunded.
Reservations are not usually required, but are recommended. Some special deals require a reservation and all cruises are subject to availability. PRIVATE CHARTER DEPOSIT:
Private charters may be paid with company or personal check IN ADVANCE. Private charters require 25% deposit no later than 30 days out from schedule charter, with balance being due upon day of sail. Refunds given only with 72 hours cancellation notice. Inside of 72 hours, deposit is forfeited.

Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our secure Commerce gateway meets or exceeds all industry standards for payment transactions. All of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address is encrypted so that it cannot be read over the internet.

You are encouraged to take lots of pictures on the cruises and we’d love to see what you got! Use hashtag #ameliarivercruises on social media to share and peruse your fellow traveler’s photos. (Brand new this year!) Occasionally, we will take pictures for marketing on the boat too, so please give us a heads up if you do not want your beautiful face shared with the world. We will do our best to identify or not identify you based on your wishes and grant photo credits for any photos that you give us to use. Just remember, if you do not tell us otherwise, you are granting your consent to be photographed while you are having the time of your life with us!
