Post Hurricane Matthew Update

Amelia River Cruise - Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle’s new temporary home at Dock 8 – South Front Street – Historic Fernandina Beach.

FERNANDINA BEACH, FL – October 12, 2016 – Due to extensive hurricane damage to our normal dock at the Fernandina Harbor Marina, we will be resuming operations out of the south end of the same marina, off of Dock 8. This is approximately 300 yards south of our normal business location at 1 North Front Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. A temporary ticket booth building will arrive tomorrow, October 13, 2016 and will be placed south of Atlantic Seafood in the gravel parking lot south of Ash Street.

Miss Kaylynn at Dock 8All three of our boats suffered no hurricane damage. Brand new canvas was installed on the two large boats earlier this year and it held up incredibly well. The normal ticket booth was not damaged in Hurricane Matthew either, in spite of widespread flooding nearby. Safety inspections have been completed and power and water services have been restored to the usable sections of the Fernandina Harbor Marina. The fuel dock at the Fernandina Harbor Marina is not operational yet, but fuel is available at the Amelia Island Yacht Basin marina, near the Shave Bridge.

Amelia River Cruises & Charters offers 3 narrated historic sightseeing boat tours daily from historic downtown Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island up to Cumberland Island National Seashore, plus the Adult Twilight BYOB Cruise with live local musicians on Fridays & Saturdays.
