Amelia River Cruises & Charters announces winter cruises featuring Cumberland Island and Beach Creek Tours. Each tour will be run daily, six days per week, all winter long. As Amelia River Cruises’ sightseeing tours commonly sell out, reservations are strongly recommended.

“This is the best time of the year to take a Beach Creek Tour,” said Kimberly Schwerdtfeger, Marketing Director of Amelia River Cruises. “Our local snowbirds, the white pelicans, are back for the winter season and we always look for them on our way to Cumberland Island, GA. We cruise up a quiet creek past ancient oaks and marshes to look for wild horses, dolphins, birds and other wildlife, getting as close as we can to the historic ruins of the Dungeness mansion. The cooler winter temperatures keep the bugs away and bring the wildlife out to play.”

• Winter office hours will be 9:00am – 2:30pm Monday through Saturday.
• Closed Sundays except for special events
• Closed on December 25^th

Cruise Times*

• Cumberland Island Tour : 10:00am Monday – Saturday
• Beach Creek Tour : 2:30pm Monday – Saturday
• Day After Christmas Cruise : December 26^th at 10am

*Cruises require a minimum of 10 passengers to sail
