About Us

We’d like you to get to know about us, our story, our team, our boats, our musicians, and take a look at our blog, too. We truly enjoy sharing our backyard Paradise that is the waterways of Amelia and Cumberland Islands in NE Florida and SE Georgia. From playful dolphins in the Amelia River to the feral horses of Cumberland Island, from the great Bald Eagles soaring overhead to the alligators who love to soak up the sun on the banks of Beach Creek, our Coast Guard certified captains know where the wildlife hang out. Our natural, deep-water port is just minutes to the Atlantic Ocean, making our small Victorian seaside village a perfect stop for smugglers, merchants, and Pirates! When Florida belonged to Spain and Georgia was part of the United States, Amelia Island became a popular hub for smuggling spices, liquor, lumber, silks, and the enslaved, too. Our history, though not always pleasant, is indeed quite interesting. Welcome to the Isle of Eight Flags, and let our captains share the fascinating history of all eight nations who claimed Amelia as their own – including the three flags flown overhead by marauders, buccaneers, and pirates. Thank you for your interest in Amelia River Cruises and Charters, and our wildlife and history boat tours. We look forward to having you aboard.
